pig won't eat

Postby johnpewinski » Sat Apr 30, 2011 6:19 pm

I lost one of my purebred Landrace gilts today. i am thinking it had pneaumonia i administired vaccines and a steriod for 4 days and ended up losing it this morning. Now the problem is one of my cross gilts won't eat and wasnt very active today. Could she possibly be getting pneaumonia from this goofy weather lately or is it something else??? 8O

Respiratory disease is possible. You should have a necropsy done on the dead hog to find out what caused its demise.
Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.

If its respiratory then Excede and Draxxin is where I would start. If its not you haven't hurt any thing. Good Luck.
