The Ohio State Livestock Judging Team placed third at their last competition of the season to All East Livestock Evaluation Contest.

In addition to placing third overall, the team ranked third in beef, second in swine, third in sheep for the 3-day competition.

If you have children, friends or club members between the ages of 9 to 21, they are eligible to compete in the 15th Annual Wilmington College Collegiate 4-H Little International Showmanship contest!

It will be on April 6th at 9:00 am at the Equine Center. The Little International is a showmanship contest sponsored by Wilmington College Collegiate 4-H to help members improve their showmanship skills. There will be two age divisions: Junior 9-14 years old and Senior 15-21 years old. Five species will be shown: horse, beef cattle, sheep, goats, and swine. All animals and show equipment will be provided. Each specie winner will be getting a plaque and whoever wins the most species will be getting a bigger prize! So make sure that you or whoever, signs up for ALL of the species.

 The Ohio State Livestock Judging Team improved 7 spots from the past contest by placing 12 of 26 teams at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Intercollegiate Judging Contest on March 11.

The Ohio State Livestock Judging Team had a productive start in their first two contests of the year at the National Western Stock Show and Dixie National.

The National Western Stock Show (NWSS) in Denver, Colo. held its livestock judging competition and truckload evaluation from Jan. 17-18 at the Denver Coliseum. The judging contest included 12 classes and 8 sets of oral reasons. The truckload competition included six classes of four carloads of cattle (four head per load) and 10 questions on one of the classes.
