ok. 1 gallon per 100lbs. what sow/boar is going to sit and drink 5+ gallons of water at once. Is there another way to use this product with good results.

You are kidding right?

I didn't know they still made that stuff. The short answer is there is no way to use this product with good results.

As far as the directions 1 gallon per 100 pounds is about what a pig drinks in a day so it is intended to be hooked to a proportioner that will deliver 1 oz per gallon of drinking water.

Wazine is an old dewormer that only works well for adult roundworms. I typically do not use it in show pigs because of this. I am not sure how you are reading the directions in that you need to give 5 gallons of Wazine though. Here are the label directions:

If using Wazine 34 -
SWINE

For each 100 lb. (45.5 kg) of herd weight: give 1/2 fluid ounce (15 ml) of Wazine-34 per U.S. gallon (3.8 liters) of drinking water. Treat sows and gilts before breeding and up to 2 weeks before farrowing, treat boars at any time, and treat pigs 1 week after weaning and every 30 days thereafter.

If using Wazing 17 -

SWINE - For each 100 pounds (45.5 kilograms) of herd weight: give 1 fluid ounce (30 ml) of Wazine-17 per U.S. gallon (3.8 liters) of drinking water. Treat sows and gilts breeding and up to 2 weeks before farrowing, treat boars at any time, and treat pigs 1 week after weaning and every 30 days thereafter.

So just figure out how much Wazine is needed, add to your water tank and the pigs will drink it over the course of the day. Best way to administer it is through a water medicator. But to have the best efficacy and coverage of all internal parasites, SafeGuard or Ivomec is the best way to go.
